Welcome to our online hurricane preparation event for parents of neurodivergent children. This event is designed to provide valuable insights, tools, and support to help families prepare for hurricanes in a sensory-friendly manner. We are excited to partner with Kathryn Hamlin-Pacheco, founder of the Brain Executive Program, and Betsy Germain Evans, founder and CEO of MOM Services.

Kathy Rodriguez: Founder and CEO of Safe Space Staging, specializing in sensory- friendly environments. Kathy will explain how to create custom-made tiered kits for your neurodivergent child that will be your go-to during hurricane season.

Betsy Germain Evans: Founder and CEO of MOM Services, with extensive experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals. MOM provides parents of Neurodivergent Children with education, resources and advocacy services. Betsy will share strategies and advocacy tips for parents.

Kathryn Hamlin-Pacheco: Founder of the Brain Executive Program, occupational therapist, and former teacher. Katie will discuss the Sensory Safe Evacuation Planner and how to address your child’s sensory needs during an evacuation.

Kathryn Hamlin-Pacheco

Kathryn (Katie) Hamlin-Pacheco, M.S., OTR/L, is an occupational therapist, former teacher, and founder of the Brain Executive Program. She has combined her clinical knowledge with her experience as an educator to create this program, aimed at empowering children and their families through everyday neuroscience to be the power- holders and change-makers in their own lives. Kathryn graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, where she also worked with the Virginia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program to pursue her desire to be an advocate and leader in pediatric healthcare.

Betsy Germain Evans

Betsy Germain Evans is the founder and CEO of MOM Services, a dedicated disabilitymadvocate with extensive experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals. Through MOM Services, she provides essential resources and support to families, helping them navigate the complexities of neurodivergence with compassion and expertise.
